This is the first time I (Phil) am writing in the blog and can't express all of the confusion, anxiety, and pure excitement that is going on. Evie & I have hosted parties large and small, but this was definitely in a different ballpark. 18 months of planning and it's all culminating in 2 days! Wow! We've felt like the day would never get here, like we would be in planning mode for longer. It's for the better that we're not though :-). Those that have already been married know all to well the challenges of weddings. We're just very glad to still be happy with each other even while working through all the bumps in the wedding road. I would say it's definitely been one of the biggest obstacles that we've faced in our relationship and I feel like we're cruising right over it. With that in mind, we're ready to start this celebration off! If anyone is reading this last minute - I hope you're ready for a fun day/night!

Well things are coming together well and we are getting really excited to see everyone in just 2 short weeks! I think we are just as excited about getting our house back as well. LOL!

Evie and Phil 

So Phil and I cannot believe how great our shower was. The decorations were beautiful, food was great and everything was organized. Our wedding party did such an amazing job that Phil and I didn’t have to worry about a thing and we are very grateful for them. Instead of rushing about, we got to chat with pretty much everyone who came and we really enjoyed the entire event.

We definitely got to stock our home and wedding bar so thank you to all who brought a bottle or two. We also got a lot of great gifts so thank you all who got us something special for the house or honeymoon.

The raffle was a big success and our trivia questions definitely got the crowd going. Never saw shower game be so vocal and we hope you all enjoyed our answers and got to know us even more.

On another note, I think one of the biggest parts of the day was when we all split up into teams and took rolls of toilet paper and made a key person in each group the "bride". (This was actually Phil's idea!) There was a lot of strutting, giggles and batting of lashes... just from the three guys who were man enough to volunteer to be the "bride". Our winner was the lovely Frank Corrado and he definitely gave us his best runway walk.

If our wedding is just as fun and social as our shower then we would be thrilled. All of the time and effort would be worth it because we would know everyone was having a good time... even us. Thank you all for those who could make it and those who couldn’t you were definitely missed. We are extremely excited and cannot wait to see you all in exactly 2 months!

So as this new year starts Phil and I have been discussing a lot on what we really want at the wedding and what just isn't important. I have found that we agree on a lot of things but it's the little details that cause us to have frustrations. To have appetizers or not, to have more food on the buffet or not... the list goes on and on. I could care less about small details and do whatever but that is Phil's specialty. I find myself needing his approval more for things like that and most find that odd. They say "It's the brides day do what you want!" but I am not getting married by myself... So please know that pretty much everything that you see from us regarding the wedding has been discussed by both of us. Invitations, thank you cards, flowers, bridesmaid dress colors etc and I hope that Phil's personality and style shows just as much as mine. Even though it's stressful we are really excite to have all of you share this day with us.
