The two of them met in 2011 when Laura came home on leave to hangout with some friends who brought their friends along.  When the night ended the two of them became Facebook friends; however, the Facebook friendship didn't last long.  Laura deleted Kristen from her friends list because they never talked and weren't friends.  A few months went by and Laura added Kristen back on Facebook and the friendship began.  Laura moved to Missouri from Germany and went to Drill Sergeant school for 10 weeks.  When she got done with school she underwent surgery and was then on leave for a month.  Kristen and Laura talked everyday while Laura was on leave.  It became clockwork as to when Kristen would text Laura.  Their friendship grew so strong that it became apart of their daily routine to talk to each other.  For the next year, Laura came home as often as possible to visit family and friends.  When she did come home she got to see Kristen as well.  They were best of friends.  December 21, 2012, with much patience, their friendship became a relationship.  For the next two years their relationship was all long distance, and they typically only saw each other once a month.  The struggle was tough but they held on.  May 2014, Laura left the military and moved in with Kristen in her 1 bedroom apartment.  Laura struggled with the transition and it impacted their relationship so much.  After a few months they decided to rent a house and continue to grow their relationship.  Dealing with the civilian life continued to weigh on Laura and their relationship; however, the good times outweighed the hard times.  After a year renting they decided they were ready to buy a house together.  June 2015, the couple purchased their first home together.  Since then the hard times have dwindled down to minimal, they purchased a new car together and their family has doubled from 2 puppies to 4 puppies.  Now, they anxiously await for the day they say "I DO"!  July 21, 2017 cannot come soon enough.
