Zach was very sneaky with his proposal! Of course we had talked about future plans, but he completely surprised me. It was March 17th and I had come home after working a 12 hour shift. I opened the door to a stairway full of handwritten notes and rose petals leading up the stairs. I knew right away that, obviously, something was going on! On the notes was our back story. How we got to where we are now and the love that we share together. I could feel the tears coming and then Denali(our pit bull) came running down the stairs with a collar that said "Will you marry my dad?" Happiest moment of my life and something I will never forget! I came up the stairs to find him down on one knee with the most beautiful ring I've ever laid eyes on. Of course I said yes! He had already gotten permission from both my mom and dad, and had even talked to my best friend, Jen. We spent the rest of the night at home together. He had bbq'd, so we ate and drank green beer(St. Patty's Day!) and celebrated to an amazing future together. A day we will remember forever.
