Tulum Express Rising up over the opal waters of the Caribbean Sea, Tulum is an archaeological gem that stands guard over pristine tropical shores like a proud great, great grandfather! Tulum is the only walled Mayan coastal city ever discovered and has fast become one of the most popular sites in Mexico. This Tulum Express tour offers us a quick “no frills” opportunity to visit the site with a 1-hour guided tour, shoot some spectacular photos and grab a quick swim in the inviting Caribbean before heading back to our resort!
Tulum – Xel-Ha Tulum is the only walled city built by the Mayans along Caribbean. This ancient fortress atop a cliff overlooking the coast was so formidable in its day that the Spanish by-passed the area on their way to conquering the Peninsula. The views are spectacular, and the site offers a unique look back in time. Several structures still have original paintings on the walls. At Xel-Ha, we will enjoy the extraordinary network of natural pools and waterways, walking paths and tropical forests. We will jump into an incredible “natural aquarium” where we can snorkel in calm waters, grab a float for a lazy ride in gentle currents or lay back and relax in a hammock with the realization that we are not dreaming!
Snorkeling Adventure On our honeymoon, we will enjoy a “Robinson Crusoe” type day away from the busy beaches and pools of our hotel! We will jump into the warm Caribbean waters and swim with colorful tropical fish and the amazing diversity of marine life as we marvel at the coral formations on the Great Mayan Reef, the second largest reef system in the world. Small launches will take us just a short distance from the beach out to the reefs and return to the snorkeling session so we are not on the water the entire day. Once we are back on shore, we can relax on a private, powder-soft beach while indulging in a delicious Caribbean barbecue lunch of grilled chicken, local fish and tasty meat tacos served right there on the beach. Later in the afternoon, we will head out for another snorkeling session. There is also beach volleyball or hammocks, cervezas and tequila for a terrific, laid-back day in paradise!

Morning Glory We will enjoy a quick snorkeling jaunt out to a terrific section of the Great Mayan Reef, the second largest reef system in the world. On our honeymoon, we will jump into the warm Caribbean waters and swim with colorful tropical fish and an amazing diversity of marine life as we marvel at the coral formations located in shallow waters. Launches will zip us in and out to the reefs which lie just a short distance out from the beach. All of our equipment is provided and friendly guides provide easy instructions and assistance once we are in the water. This is a perfect activity for our romantic vacation in paradise!
Whale Shark Adventure The Whale Shark Adventure Tour will give us a National Geographic-like moment when we swim beside these incredible creatures of the sea! Whale Sharks are the largest fish on the planet and these docile giants can reach up to 40 feet in length and feature huge, box like mouths with which to trap plankton and tiny plant and marine life. We will travel with a small group in comfortable launches accompanied by an experienced, bilingual marine biologist who will swim with us along side these incredible animals. We will become one of the privileged few to witness one of the most unique inhabitants of ocean in its natural habitat. A snorkel stop at a barrier reef on the way back to port is an added bonus for us to finish off this incredible adventure.

During the trip, we will discover a passage that leads us out to the beautiful, crystal clear Caribbean Sea for some snorkeling on the second largest barrier reef in the world.
