As Jeff and I reflect on God's perfect timing we can't help but smile as we see his fingerprints from the very beginning. Little did we know all that God had up his sleeve on June 20th, 2014 as Jeff and I stood in line as complete strangers awaiting to be baptized at Movement Church. To this day we will both admit that we caught each other's eye. Over the next several months Jeff would show up to church early hoping to get a chance to talk to me and I would always be the one who strolled into church just as service was starting. Of course, as a typical Sumey, Jeff would be out the door the moment the pastor said "Amen" and I was always looking around for him, hoping to actually meet the handsome guy who had caught my eye. We spent the next 10 months repeating this cycle before Jeff would ask me to dinner. We immediately had a connection and a smile that neither of us could erase.

On August 1st, 2015 we had decided to go sky diving with our church. This was always something that Jeff had wanted to do. As for me, it was always the one thing I was never sure I could do but I decided to face my fear. On that day we had about a 4 hour wait before our jump. I had been thinking about God's goodness, favor and how far he has brought me and why I was about to jump out of a perfectly good plane. Jeff was nervous himself but for a completely different reason. As we got on the plane, we waved to our friends and family hoping to see them again. At 14,000 feet up, the plane door opened and out jumped Jeff. My heart was pounding and all I could think about was if I would ever see him again. Before I knew it, I was free falling myself. The parachute opened and I was immediately surrounded and taken in by God amazing creation. I looked down and noticed a huge sign that read "Will You Marry Me?" As I landed right in front of the sign, Jeff awaited me on bended knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.

We are excited to begin a new season together as we journey through life as a team. We know that God has huge plans for us and that the best is yet to come.

In lieu of wedding gifts, we would like to ask you to consider contributing toward our honeymoon. It has always been a dream of ours to go somewhere tropical and we are excited as we have been told by a close friend, who is a travel agent, that she has had more returning clients to this resort then anywhere else.
