Recently designated as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, this is an extraordinary visit to one of the most impressive archaeological discoveries on the planet! We will marvel at the construction of massive structures such as the Kukulcan Pyramid, designed by Mayan architects without modern day technology, test the acoustical magic in the largest ball court in the Americas and walk the same paths as Mayan priests did centuries ago to offer sacrifices to their gods at the Sacred Well. After the tour, we will visit to a cenote at Ik Kil, where we can refresh in the cool, mystical waters and take advantage of another amazing photo!

Snorkeling Adventure

On our honeymoon, we will enjoy a “Robinson Crusoe” type day away from the busy beaches and pools of our hotel! We will jump into the warm Caribbean waters and swim with colorful tropical fish and the amazing diversity of marine life as we marvel at the coral formations on the Great Mayan Reef, the second largest reef system in the world. Small launches will take us just a short distance from the beach out to the reefs and return to the snorkeling session so we are not on the water the entire day. Once we are back on shore, we can relax on a private, powder-soft beach while indulging in a delicious Caribbean barbecue lunch of grilled chicken, local fish and tasty meat tacos served right there on the beach. Later in the afternoon, we will head out for another snorkeling session. There is also beach volleyball or hammocks, cervezas and tequila for a terrific, laid-back day in paradise!
