On our honeymoon, we will discover nature’s sacred paradise! Once an ancient Mayan seaport, this eco-archaeological park is designed to keep us busy all day. We will swim gently through underground rivers, relax in crystal clear lagoons, observe exotic tropical birds, jungle cats and spider monkeys, snorkel in protected inlets or take a siesta in a hammock under the swaying palm trees. We will love the impressive coral reef aquarium, a butterfly pavilion, a tropical orchid green house, special performances in various spots of the park throughout the day and archaeological ruins that remind us that we are walking in the footsteps of a centuries old culture. We will stay for the evening to step back in time with a magical show bursting with color, music and folklore in a spectacular covered amphitheater!

As a thrifty couple who is not materialistic, we have already acquired all that we need for our home through estate sales, second hand shops, Craigslist and more. We rarely buy anything new so rather than have more things in our little house that is already packed... we would like to have the honeymoon of our dreams. We have decided to stay in a unique Mayan Suite at the Grand Palladium Colonial Resort located in Riviera Maya, Mexico. We will be there for 9 days and 8 nights. We will be departing Pittsburgh PA on Tuesday June 25th, 2013 and returning on Wednesday July 3rd, 2013. Our hotel will be all inclusive and your $50.00 contribution will help towards airfare, our suite, taxes, transfers, entertainment, meals, drinks and more.
