Recently designated as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, this is an extraordinary visit to one of the most impressive archaeological discoveries on the planet! We will marvel at the construction of massive structures such as the Kukulcan Pyramid, designed by Mayan architects without modern day technology, test the acoustical magic in the largest ball court in the Americas and walk the same paths as Mayan priests did centuries ago to offer sacrifices to their gods at the Sacred Well. After the tour, we will visit to a cenote at Ik Kil, where we can refresh in the cool, mystical waters and take advantage of another amazing photo!

We will immerse ourselves in an Indiana Jones experience! Coba was once a trading center of the Maya, and is an archaeological site that dates back 1,500 years. On our honeymoon, we will climb the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan, the Nohoch Muul Temple and gaze out over a series of lagoons that surround the archaeological site and discover large hand-etched stone tablets predicting an astronomical event to occur in 2011. Then it’s off to a cenote, a unique geological phenomenon that Ancient Mayan mythology considered to be sacred entrances into the underworld. Here, we will jump in for a refreshing swim as we admire the natural beauty surrounding us. Later in the day, we will visit a Mayan village and observe ancestral traditions and customs still present in the villagers’ daily routines. Mayan families will welcome us into their homes and show us aspects of their daily life like construction, hunting, agriculture, cuisine, religion, weaving and embroidery. This will be an eye-opening day that we wish would not end!

On our honeymoon, we will discover nature’s sacred paradise! Once an ancient Mayan seaport, this eco-archaeological park is designed to keep us busy all day. We will swim gently through underground rivers, relax in crystal clear lagoons, observe exotic tropical birds, jungle cats and spider monkeys, snorkel in protected inlets or take a siesta in a hammock under the swaying palm trees. We will love the impressive coral reef aquarium, a butterfly pavilion, a tropical orchid green house, special performances in various spots of the park throughout the day and archaeological ruins that remind us that we are walking in the footsteps of a centuries old culture. We will stay for the evening to step back in time with a magical show bursting with color, music and folklore in a spectacular covered amphitheater!

On our honeymoon, this tour will take us into the heart of the Maya land and the majestic archeological site of Tulum with its spectacular views over the Caribbean waters! We will experience the thrill of flying 66 feet over the jungle canopy on a zip-line circuit, the longest and fastest in the region. Then, we gear up to rappel 60 feet into the depths of an underground river where we can swim and snorkel while exploring the astounding rock formations of a mystical Mayan cenote. After that, a delicious typical Mexican lunch surrounded by the sounds of nature awaits us at the end of our jungle adventure. Then we will travel back in time and admire the beauty of the archaeological site of Tulum where we will learn the local traditions and see the flora and fauna!
